Medomak Valley senior Morgan Baum swept the weight events at Belfast on May 7. Baum won the javelin (98’9″), the discus (101’6″) and the shot put (28’5″). The Lady Panthers tied for second with Mt.View with 48 points. Belfast won with 94.
Nicole Weaver won the 800 in 2:40. Selena Ding was 2nd in the 3200 in 17:18. Heidi Harris took 2nd in the 400 in 1:11. Julie Ennamorati was 2nd in the triple jump (29’4″), and 5th in the 100 in 14.04 and 200 in 29.71. Laura Beal was 3rd in the hurdles in 21.8. Abbie Vail was 3rd in the discus (76’7″) and 4th in the hurdles in 22.08. Megan Wyllie placed 3rd in the 800 in 2:53. Brianna Gross was 4th in the 400 in 1:16 and 5th in triple jump (22’6″). Emily Leach was 4th in the 200 in 29.14. Desiree Leary was 4th in the high jump (4′). Ashley Rackliff took 4th in the 100 in 14.01. Jessica Prescott took 5th in the discus (58’4″). Roxanne Jelenfy was 5th in the hurdles in 22.31.
The Lady Panthers won the 4×800 relay in 11:03 with Kiana Ocean, Wyllie, Weaver and Gwen Moiles; were 3rd in the 4×100 in 56.89 with Ennamorati, Lacey Massengale, Rackliff and Leach; and 4th in the 4×400 in 4:59 with Weaver, Harris, Wyllie and Ocean.
Medomak boys (67) placed second to Belfast (92) and Mt.View was third (41).
Alex MacKenzie won two events, the long jump (18’6″) and triple jump (36’11.5″) and was 2nd in the high jump (5’4″). Nick Anderson won the 3200 in 12:02 and was 5th in the javelin (118’7″). Pat O’Donnell won the 1600 in 4:57 and was 2nd in the 200 in 23.94. Josh Parmenter won the 300 hurdles in 43.97. Ian Rixon won the racewalk in 8:59. Nate Meade took 2nd in the long jump (18’6″) and 5th in the 100 in 12.06 and 200 in 24.77. Jon Hendrickson took 2nd in the triple jump (35’11”). Brendon O’Donnell was 3rd in the 1600 in 5:27 and 4th in the 800 in 2:27. Joe Murphy took 3rd in the 800 in 2:26 and 3rd in the 1600 in 5:34 and 3200 in 13.43. Deering Genthner placed 4th in the 100 in 11.99. Devon Sproul was 4th in the high jump (5’4″). Nate McBrien was 4th in the javelin (118’11” and 5th in the triple jump (31’11”). Mike Gilman took 5th in discus (93′) and shotput (34’8″). Taylor Packard was 5th in the 800 in 2:29.
The Panthers won all three relays, the 4×800 in 9:37 with McBrien, B. O’Donnell, Anderson and Parmenter; the 4×100 in 48.14 with Genthner, MacKenzie, Hendrickson and Meade; and the 4×400 in 3:35 with McBrien, Sproul, Gilman and Parmenter.
