Medomak Valley’s golf team handed Lincoln Academy an 8-1 loss on Sept. 10 at Wawenock. “We had an off night,” coach Todd Brackett said.
The Panthers shot a 178 to the Eagles’ 186 and won five out of six matches to pick up their fourth straight win of the season. Adam Lynch (44) defeated Stephen Quinlan by one stroke. Isaac Greenrose (44) beat Alex Cosgrove (50). Alex Greenrose (44) topped Jalen Lincoln (48). Eagle Alex Graves picked up the only win for Lincoln with a 43 to beat John Wilcox by three strokes. Kyle Durkee, in his varsity debut, shot a 52 to beat Casey Poland by three strokes. Jason Vinal (52) beat Cody Graves by a stroke.
In JV action, Kelsey Leeman shot a 51 to beat Zach Judkins (66).
Lynch (46) lost to Tyler Bantle by three strokes. I. Greenrose (51) lost to Colby Blancharde (39). A. Greenrose (44) fell to Devin Ryan by a stroke. Jason Vinal (50) beat Kyle Story (58). Zach Judkins (49) defeated Dan Muther (65). Drukee (49) beat Adam Cushman (60).
“We’re not playing well at home right now, coach Peter Stuart said of Medomak’s back-to-back losses. These close matches we are going to have to pull out. You never know who is going to show up on any given day,” Stuart added of the Panther’s inconsistent play.
