Medomak Valley boys basketball team opened their KVAC season with a 46-40 win at Gardiner on Dec. 7. The Panthers led by as many as 14 in the first half, before an aggressive Tiger team battled back to take the lead a minute and a half into the fourth quarter. Medomak made just enough foul shots down the stretch to pull out a six point win. Scoring leaders for the Panthers were Gabe Allaire 11, Ryan Creamer 10, Alec Coughlin 8 and Trevor Brown 7. Gardiner was led by Luke Stevens 10, and Casey Gallagher and Logan Carleton with 7 each.
