Lincoln Academy sophomore Bailey Plourde tied for Maine Schoolgirls golf runner-up Saturday at Natanis. Last season Plourde tied for the state championship with Jenna Hallet of Presque Isle, this year she tied Hallet for the runner-up trophy. Both girls shot a 75 on the Arrowhead course at Natanis. They were beaten out by Thorton Academy foreign exchange student Hashilla Rivai, who shot a 70.
In State Class C Schoolboy golf action, Grant Hefler tied for 15th place with an 85, and his brother Daren Wood shot a 90.
