Saturday was a good day for Lincoln County golfers as three Lincoln County high school competitors won honors at the Maine Schoolboy and Schoolgirl Individual Championships, contested at the Natanis Golf Course in Vassalboro Oct. 19.
Lincoln Academy freshman Bailey Plourde won a share of the state schoolgirl championship, shooting a personal best 76 to tie for first place. Plourde and her rival were named co-champions.
Lincoln Academy senior Seward Matel shot a 74, earning runner-up honors in Class B Boys.
Wiscasset Wolverine Chandler Longfellow was part of a three way tie for runner-up honors in Boys Class C, shooting a 76.
