The Coastal Christian School Rams have finished the winter sports season and have moved into the playoffs. The girls’ volleyball team finished its regular season with a 5-7 record, tied with Wiscasset Christian Academy for fourth place in the Maine Association of Christian Schools quarterfinals playoff. The playoff game on Mon. Feb. 15 ended with W.C.A. winning two games to win the match, giving CCS a final record of 5-8.
The boys’ basketball team finished its regular season with a 6-6 record, qualifying for a playoff spot in the MACS League. The team played number one ranked Calvary Christian Academy of Turner on Fri. Feb. 18. Coastal Christian won the game, 46-38.
Scoring for the CCS Rams were Dustin Burnham with 13 points, Jonah Cronkhite with 10, Jeremiah Dickinson and Mason Vermilion each scoring nine points, Ethan Townsend with four points, and Harry Stred with one point. The team now proceeds to the semi-finals game on Sat., Feb. 27 at 4:30 p.m. versus South Hope Christian School at Calvary Christian Academy in Turner.
