Jefferson’s Olivia Richmond was the high scorer for the girls at the Busline League track and field championships, held at Camden Hills on May. 28. Richmond won two events and
placed in two others to score 34 points.
For the boys, Wiscasset’s Levi McAtee won three events to tie two Camden athletes Marco D’Amato and Cooper Russell for the top scorer with 30 points.
Boys results
Camden boys won with 232 points, followed by GSB 83, Wiscasset 74, Oceanside 37, Medomak 30, and Jefferson 5.
Wiscasset – Levin McAtee won three events for Wiscasset, the shot-put, 31’4″, the discus, 99’6″, and the racewalk in 4:41. Max Sampson won the long jump, 15’4.5″; 2.
triple jump, 31’5″; 6. high jump, 4’5″. Matt Chapman 3. 55 hurdles, 10.09, and 6. 400 in 1:06. CJ Loyola 5. 100, 13.87; and 5. 200, 30.33.
Wiscasset placed second in the 4×100 relay in 56.48 with Loyola, Sampson, Quinn Ranta, and Chapman; and third in the 4×400 in 4:52 with Ranta, McAtee, Chapman, and Caleb
Gabrielle.

Medomak – Dylan Dickey placed in three events: 3. 100, 13.31; 3. shot-put, 29’5.25″; and 5. high jump (4’7″). Eli Miller 6. 800 in 2:47. Gavin Hargrove 4. discus, 82’6″;
and 6. racewalk, 5:09. Will Cox 4. racewalk, 5:00.
The Riverhawks took fourth in the 4×100 in 58.20 with Ethan Frank, Joseph Horowitz, Mavrick Young, and Dickey; and fifth in the 4×400 in 5:17 with Alec Coughlin, Osage Crie,
Young, and Austin Delma.
Great Salt Bay – Ian Stapp won the 400 in 1:03; 4. 200, 30.31. Sam Russ 2. 800 in 2:39 and 1600 in 5:25. William Tunn 5. 1600, 5:43. Tommy Thelander placed in four
events: 3. high jump, 4’8″; 3. javelin, 105’2″; 5. hurdles, 10.3; and 5. triple jump, 29’4″. Lauren Pusey-Nazzaro 3. long jump, 13’5″, 3. triple jump, 31’4.5″. Isaac Knapp 2.
shot-put, 30′.75″, and 6. long jump, 13’5″. The Cougars placed second in the 4×400 relay in 4:31 with Stapp, Russ, Aidan Manahan, and Tunn; and third in the 4×100 in 57.21 with
Knapp, Stapp, Tunn, and Thelander.

Girls results
Camden girls won the Busline League championships with 212 points, followed by Oceanside 71.5, Wiscasset 55, GSB 50.5, Jefferson 42 and Medomak 32.
Jefferson – Olivia Richmond won the discus, 69’3″; and long jump, 13’5″; 2. triple jump, 28’10” and 3. 55 hurdles, 10.4. Madyson Geboskie 6. long jump, 11’10.5″. Emma
Allen 3. triple jump, 26’6″.
Great Salt Bay – Schyler Farrell won the high jump, 4’6″. Kate Peters 2. 1600, 6:23; and 4. 800, 2:54. Ellie Matthews 4. 400, 1:11; 6. 200, 31.66. Emily Harris 4. 55
hurdles, 10.56; and 5. high jump, 4′. Avery Lowe 5. discus, 58′. Hannah Davis 5. racewalk, 5:08. GSB took second in the 4×400 relay in 5:11 with Matthews, Tatum Hancock, Peters,
and May Halm; and fourth in the 4×100 in 1:01 with Evi Margaritis, Matthews, Sara Peavey, and Allison York.
Wiscasset – Ayanna Main won the triple jump, 29’5.5″; 2. long jump, 13’2″; and 6. 55 hurdles, 10.64. Sarah Foley won the 800 racewalk, 4:42. Sophia Stafford 2. shot-put,
29’7.75″; and 2. discus, 66’11”. Lily Souza, 5. javelin, 57’2″. Wiscasset took third in the 4×100 relay in 1:01 with Stafford, Cara Viele, Main, and Grace Wehrle; and fifth in
the 4×400 in 5:24 with Viele, Sarah Foley, Wehrle, and Arie Mills.
Medomak – Lydia Simmons won two events, the shot-put, 31’2.25″; and the javelin, 91’9″. Acadia Calderwood 4. 1600, 6:29. Jane Vannoy 5. 400, 1:12.
Medomak was fourth in the 4×400 relay in 5:17 with Calderwood, Talia Willis, Aubrey Schaeffer, and Vannoy; and fifth in the 4×100 in 1:03 with Schaeffer, Vannoy, Willis and
Simmons.
