A 5K road race will start festivities for Medomak Valley Land Trust’s third annual River Festival on Sat., Aug. 22. Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. and the race will start at 10 a.m. from the intersection of Jefferson and Main St. in downtown Waldoboro.
T-shirts are guaranteed to the first 25 registrants, and there will be prizes for the top overall finishers and age division winners.
Race entry is a donation to the Medomak Valley Land Trust (MVLT) of $15 for pre-registration and $20 for race day registration. After the 5K race, enjoy the rest of the River Festival activities from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. in the Waldoboro Village parking lot behind Waltz’s Pharmacy. Admission is free, and activities include a cookout, live music, a market of farmers and artisans, children’s activities and more.
