Mt.Abram defeated Wiscasset boys basketball team 53-37 on Jan. 10 in the Wolerines den. Wiscasset got into foul trouble in the second quarter, with Zach Reed and Matt Chapman picking up their third foul each and the Roadrunners took advantage for a 22-8 run. Wiscasset played them even 23-23 in the second half.
“We are getting better,” coach Seth Farrington said of his young squad, which were boosted by the return of senior Reed.
Wiscasset was led by Reed 14 and Ron Drake 13.
Mt.Abram was led by Dav Storer 22 and Casey Holt 13.
