Rockland softball knocked off the number one seed, undefeated Medomak Middle School in the Northern Division championship, to advance the Busline Championships at Medomak Middle School on June 10.
Rockland took on the undefeated, Southern Division champion Jefferson Chargers in the Busline finals and pulled out a 5-0 win. The loss was Jefferson’s first of the season (9-1).
Emily Goud (2 hits) scored three runs, and Payton Billingsly (2 hits) scored two runs in the win. Tiffany Benn had the only other hit for Rockland. Hitting for Jefferson were Marissa White and Miranda Achorn with 2 each and Avery Bond one.
Bond and Abby Farrin pitched for Jefferson in the loss. Emma Spencer collected the win (5H,0B,2K).
