Rockland hurler Keenan Hendricks pitched a no-hitter on Sunday to pick up an 8-0 shutout win over Waldoboro in District II Little League baseball all-star action. Bryce Collamore took the loss and Jackson Vail pitched one inning in relief.
Rockland took a 2-0 lead in the 1st inning on a Nick Mazurek RBI single scoring Zac Ronan. Noah Slivinsky reached on an error scoring Zack Peaco. They added five runs in the 3rd, highlighted by a bases loaded two run single to Slivinsky, an RBI sacrifice to Jake Bartlett and a two run error to Ronan. Rockland scored one run in the 5th when Jake Bartlett singled and scored on a bases loaded walk to Mazarek.
Hitting for Rockland were Mazarek a double and single, Steve Robinson a double, and Slivinsky and Ronan a single each.
Hitting for Waldo were Alex Canning with a homerun and single, Avery LeClerc 2 singles, Nathan Wren a double and Jake Aledo, Mikey Hogland and Troy Reynolds a single each. Hitting for Waldoboro were Cortland Fisher with a homerun and double, Vail 2 singles and Nick DePatsy and Ollie Brown a single each.
