The Boothbay-Wiscasset boys and girls teams each placed third in a five-school meet held on Tuesday, April 29 in Wiscasset.
Rose Campbell won three events and Karen Higgins won a pair to lead the girls team.
Campbell won the 100m dash in 13:40, the 200m dash in 28.26, and the discus with a throw of 83’2”. Higgins earned first in the 800m with a time of 2:25 and first in the 3200m in 11:45.
Anna Strozier earned first in the long jump with a leap of 14’2” and took second in the triple jump.
Other top-five finishes for the Seahawks girls included Arabella Hodgdon, second in the 1600m race walk; Olivia Rittal, second in the 100m and second in the 400m; Jessica Rayburn, fourth in the 100m hurdles; Zuriel Smith, third in the javelin and fifth in the shot put; Maddie Orchard, fourth in the 1600m; and Abby Orchard, fourth in the discus.
Boys results
Ben Gapski was the top point-scorer for the Seahawks boys, winning the 110m hurdles in 17.87 and the 300m hurdles in 48.34. He also placed second in both the high jump and triple jump.
A.J. Crocker also logged a win for the boys team, racing to first place in the 3200m run in a time of 10:50.
Other Seahawks boys with top-five finishes included Ross Gaffney, second in the 1600m racewalk; Isaac Fanslau, second in the 400m and fifth in the 200m; Louie Caidoc, third in the 800m and fifth in the 1600m; Logan Bourne, fourth in the shot put and fifth in the discus; Ethan Clark, fourth in the 1600m run and fifth in the 800m; and Jackson Zehm, fifth in the 1600m race walk.
