Skowhegan upset number one seed and undefeated Medomak Valley boys basketball team 54-53 in a North A quarterfinal match-up at the Augusta Civic Center on Feb. 18. Medomak led by as many as nine in the second quarter. Skowhegan pulled within five by the end of the half, then locked the Panthers in a tie, 38-38, at the end of three. Skowhegan built a six-point lead in the fourth. Medomak scrambled back to within one, but missed its final shot.
Medomak was led by Kyle Donlin 19 and Cameron Allaire 16. Skowhegan was led by Brendan Curran 17 and Garrett McSweeney 12.
