The Medomak Valley boys’ basketball team crushed Erskine Academy 47-28 in East Class B preliminary action at Medomak Feb. 11. The win earns the Panthers a berth in the East B tournament at the Bangor Auditorium.
After a slow start, the Panthers clawed their way to a 20-13 lead at the half. Medomak opened the fourth quarter with a 33-20 lead and outscored Erskine 14-8 in the final frame to win by 19.
Daniel Aubel led Medomak scorers with 5 (5R,1S) followed by Alex Goldrup with 9. Steven Wight led Erskine scorers with 9 (2R,4S).
In other playoff action Wednesday, Wells defeated Lincoln Academy girls’ basketball team 44-36 in West Class B preliminary action in Wells. LCN will provide details here when they become available.
