Adam St. Cyr (48) placed first at the Mt. Valley Youth Classic on Sunday in Rumford. St. Cyr was selected as the Outstanding Wrestler of the day in the grade K-2 division, and was presented with the Gery Dolloff OW Trophy.
St. Cyr, a second grader at Jefferson Village School, is going to wrestle in the New Englands in Reading, Mass. as a wild card in the third grade, 52-pound division on March 14 and 15.
St. Cyr defeated Miles Smith (MtV), Colton Luce (Bel) and Jeremy Desrachers (OH) to take first.
Trever Hall (42) placed second with wins over Vincent Buzzell (Sa) and Kloe Luge (Bel) and a loss to Cooper Smith (Ma).
Hunter Brewer (79) placed second. Brewer beat Owen Libby (Dir) and Chris Rankin (Me. Tr) and lost to Travis (Wel).
David Winchenbach (66) beat Michael Hall (OH) and lost to Cody Bubier (Mar) and Eli Potter (Wel) to take third place.
Haris Abbott (44) lost to Alex Harriman (Ma), Joshua Hill (Sa) and Patrick Jones (Ma).
