Swan Lake 10 – Damariscotta 4
Swan Lake Grocery defeated Damariscotta Lions 10-4 on Tuesday to eliminate them from the Midcoast Babe Ruth playoffs. S. Perkins collected the win, and Chad Carter took the loss.
Gus Hunt scored for the Lions in the first inning after reaching on a single, moving over on a Carter single and scoring on a Cody Tozier double. They added a run in the third, scored by Andrew Martin after reaching on a single.
Baker Gove singled and stole home on the pitch in the sixth for the most exciting play of the game. Carter singled and scored in the seventh.
Hitting for Damariscotta were Carter with two singles, Tozier a double, and Hunt, Martin, and Gove a single each. Hitting for Swan Lake were Hamlin a triple and single, Smith and Dyer a double and single each, Perkins two singles, Sheefe a double, and Roberts a single.
