The KLW Umpires Association, along with Olympia Sports Center, is sponsoring a one pitch, double elimination co-ed softball tournament to benefit Art Tainter and his family, on Oct. 11 and 12. There will be an Oct. 13 rain date.
Tainter is a long time member of the Knox, Waldo, and Lincoln County Umpires Association and is respected by school officials, coaches, players and fellow umpires throughout the state. He was recently diagnosed with esophageal cancer.
