Boothbay’s Sophia Thayer won the Mt.Valley Conference girls’ cross country championships on Friday at the University of Augusta in a time of 21:11. The Lady Seahawks finished second with 70 points, just four points behind winner Dirigo. Monmouth was third with 91, Lisbon 91, Winthrop 92, St. Dom’s 94 and Telstar 153 in the close championship.
