The third annual Dustin J. Osier Memorial Alumni basketball games will be held Saturday, Dec. 28 at Medomak Valley High School in Waldoboro. All proceeds from the event go to the Dustin J. Osier Scholarship Fund, which is awarded to MVHS graduates. Osier, 19, was killed in a tragic automobile accident on his way to work in August 2011.
“We are so appreciative of all of the support and love during this time of year, when the community attends this event in honor of our son. We can’t thank people enough for your generous support to make this event a successful one,” Dustin’s parents, Lisa and John Osier said.
The girls game will start at 5 p.m., followed by the boys alumni at 6 p.m. and the oldies alumni game at 7 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults, and $3 for senior citizens.
“I am so proud to be part of this community. Over the past two years, we have been able to raise over $11,000 in college scholarships for MVHS students/graduates as they pursue their secondary education. Not only does this event impact MVHS students, but it is a way to bring us all together,” Missy Dean said.
Alumni that would like to play, please contact Missy Dean at 975-2353, or Missydean23@tds.net.
