Three Lincoln County swim teams plus Hyde competed at the Wiscasset Community Center Friday night. Boothbay girls swam to five first-place finishes, Lincoln three, and Wiscasset girls two. For the boys, Lincoln collected four first places and Wiscasset two.
Girls results
Lincoln Academy girls won two relays, the 200 medley in 2:19 with Anna Sirois, Sammy Ober, Elise Dumont, and Essie Martin; and the 400 free in 5:00.9 with Martin, Elizabeth Gilbert, Kristyna Skyvova, and Samantha Aho.
The Eagles placed 3rd in the 200 free relay in 2:09 with Kate Laemmle, Ober, Cassie Leeman, and Rowan Carroll-Christopher.
Martin won the 100 free for the Eagles in 1:06 and took 3rd in the 50 free in 29.5. Dumont took 2nd in two events, the 100 free in 2:37 and 100 breast in 1:32. Laemmle was 2nd in the 200 IM in 2:59 and 3rd in the 100 back in 1:30.
Sirois was 2nd in the 100 fly in 1:25. Ober took 2nd in the 100 back in 1:22. Aho placed 3rd in the 200 free in 2:48 and the 100 fly in 1:26. Annie Farnsworth was 3rd in the 200 IM in 3:08 and 4th in the 100 free in 1:16.
Boothbay won the 200 free relay in 2:07 with Emma Pearce, Lincoln Hamblet, Samantha Carter, and Evy Case. They took second in both the 200 medley relay in 2:21 (Brenna Alley, Case, Pearce, Hamblet) and 400 free relay in 5:26 (Alley, Carter, Annielyn MacKusick, Hamblet).
Alley won two events for the Seahawks, the 200 free in 2:29 and the 100 back in 1:16. Pearce won the 200 IM in 2:57 and was 2nd in the 100 free in 1:02. Case won the 100 breast in 1:12, and took 2nd in the 50 free in 29.47. Carter was 3rd in the 100 breast in 1:36 and 4th in the 200 free in 2:53. Hamblet was 4th in the 50 free in 31.2.
Julia West won two events for the Lady Wolverines, the 50 free in 27.32 and the 100 fly in 1:43. Maeve Carlson was 3rd in the 100 free in 1:12 and 4th in the 100 back in 1:31. Jenna Bickford was 4th in the 200 IM in 3:15 and the 100 breast in 1:43.
Wiscasset placed second in the 200 free relay in 2:08 with Carlson, Amanda Marcus, Bickford, and West, and third in the 200 medley relay in 2:30 with Marcus, West, Bickford, and Carlson.
Boys results
Lincoln boys won two relays, the 200 medley in 2:01 with Camden Reiss, Noah Jordan, Camden Gulden, and Tom Thelander, and the 400 free in 4:54 with Thelander, Aljandro Ramos, Nicholas Miaoulis, and Anton Kalmysh. The Eagles took 2nd in the 200 free relay in 1:52 with Gulden, Kalmysh, Reiss, and Jordan.
Jordan won the 200 IM in 2:19 and took 2nd in the 100 free in 56.67. Gulden won the 50 free in 25.51, and was 2nd in the 100 back in 1:08. Kalmysh took 2nd in the 100 breast in 1:22 and 3rd in the 50 free in 27.7. Ramos was 2nd in the 200 free in 2:41.
Wiscasset’s Sam Storer won both the 200 fly in 1:03 and the 100 back in 1:07. Aidan Carlson was 2nd in the 50 free in 27.58 and 3rd in the 100 breast in 1:24. Ridge Barnes took 3rd in the 200 free in 2:45 and was 4th in the 100 free in 1:12. Ryan Medina was 4th in the 50 free in 33.24.
Wiscasset took 2nd in the 200 medley relay in 2:15 with Carlson, Medina, Storer, and Barnes, and 3rd in the 200 free relay in 2:07 with Storer, Medina, Kyle Viele, and Carlson.
Chris Groneng placed 3rd for Boothbay in the 100 free in 1:08 and 4th in the 100 breast in 1:31.
