Lincoln Academy will be hosting an Ultimate Frisbee Round Robin Tournament on July 24 to raise funds to purchase four AED’s. The tournament will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the turf field. The rain date is July 31. The cost is $150 per team. Teams can consist of 10-20 players, but only seven players can be on the field at one time. The minimum age is 14. All proceeds will go to the Lincoln Academy AED Fund for the purchase and maintenance of LA’s AEDs on campus. Tournament coordinator and LA’s athletic trainer Megan DeRaps hopes to raise funds to purchase four new AEDs, one for the gym, one for Poe Theater, one for the cafeteria and a portable one that she will carry with her at athletic events.
