The Wiscasset Unsinkable Swim team traveled to Cape Elizabeth on Nov. 2 to compete in the Jamie Higgins Open.
Noah Jordan (8) received the Number 1 Loser Award for cutting the most time off his individual times. Rachel Hanley (17) broke the WCCU record in the 15 years and up 200 breaststroke.
Brianna Goud (12), Kate Laemmle (10) and Holly Stegna (12) received Golden Goggles Awards for cutting their times in all their events. The 11&12 girls’ 200 medley relay team of Sarah Hanley, Briana Goud, Holly Stegna and Miranda McIntire broke the WCCU record.

The boys’ 8 yrs & Under 100 Medley took 2nd in 1:51.25, with Tyler Stremple-Ussery, David Fairfield, Austin Stremple-Ussery and Nehemiah Brown.
The girls’ 10 yrs & Under 200 medley relay team placed 3rd with Nina Eriksen, Hayhlee Craig, Kate Laemmle and Jenna Bickford swimming a leg.
The boys’ 10 yrs & Under 200 Medley took 2nd in 2:53.12, with Whitman Vaughan, Colin Viele, Ben Milliken and Brandon Goud.
The girls’ 11-12 yrs 200 medley relay took 2nd in a WCCU record breaking time of 2:30.84, with Sarah Hanley, Briana Goud, Holly Stegna, and Miranda McIntire.
The girls’ 13 yrs & Over 200 medley relay placed 3rd in 2:11.94, with Amelia Pennington, Olivia Delisle, Valeska Vaughan and Rachel Hanley.
The boys’ 13 yrs & Over 200 medley relay took 3rd in 2:12.73, with Ryan Hanley, Josh Andrews, Ross Hanley and Drey Kuhnel.
