Medomak Valley graduate and Saint Joseph College senior Kayla Vannah, of Waldoboro has been named Great Northern Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week for week three of the season.
Vannah registered a pair of complete-game victories over the weekend. In starts versus Albertus Magnus and University of Saint Joseph, Vannah compiled a 1.50 ERA with eight strikeouts and no walks over 14 frames.
The senior captain allowed one earned run off seven hits with four K’s in a 6-2 win over the Falcons on Saturday and earned the win after yielding two runs off six hits with four strikeouts in a 7-2 triumph over the Blue Jays on Sunday.
