Waterville defeated Lincoln Academy girls tennis 3-2 on May 18 in the Eagles nest. The loss is the second for Lincoln, and looks to bump them out of the KVAC championship game.
Sammi Saulter handed Eagle number one player Emily Harris her first loss of the season at first singles, 6-1, 6-3. Sandra Thelander lost 2-6, 4-6 at second singles to Maggie Brock. Polina Scimone won her third singles match, 6-0, 6-0 over Hannah LeClair.
May Halm and Kate Peters fell 4-6, 4-6 to Mckenzie St. Pierre and Sofie Weston at first doubles. Anastasiya Oliver and Ellie Mathews defeated Nora Greene and Lauren Smith 7-5, 6-4 at second doubles.
