The 12th annual Westport Island Shore Run 10K road race and fun walk will take place on Sunday, Aug. 14. The race will be held on a USA Track & Field-certified course through scenic pine and fir forests and over two bridges spanning inlets to Heal Cove and Montsweag Bay.
All proceeds after expenses will benefit the brave women and men of the Westport Island Volunteer Fire Department.
All races will begin at the Westport Island Old Town Hall. The fun walk will start at 8:30 a.m. and the 10K road race will begin at 9 a.m. Race packets may be picked up at the old town hall beginning at 7:30 a.m. Race day registration will also begin at 7:30 a.m. at the old town hall. Parking is available at the old town hall.
