Wiscasset boys tied for 3rd and the girls took 5th in a five-school meet in Wiscasset on April 15 in their MVC opener. Lisbon boys won with 140 points, Boothbay 84, Wiscasset 38, Monmouth 38 and St. Dom’s 29. Lisbon girls won with 160 points, St. Dom’s 63, Monmouth 36, Boothbay 36 and Wiscasset 23.
Brian Campbell won the 200 in 25.49 and was 2nd in the 400 in 57.28. Adrianne Berry won the high jump, clearing the bar at 4’0.”
Alex Smelcer took 3rd in the 800 in 2:21 and 4th in the mile in 5:18. Gage Mumbower was 3rd in the 300 hurdles in 53.52. John McLeod placed 4th in the 100 in 12.82. Cormac Walsh was 4th in the discus with a throw of 82’10.” Wiscasset boys placed 3rd in both the 4×800 and 4×100 relays. Campbell, Mumbower, Ross Hanley and McLeod ran a leg of the 4×100.
Morgan Dodge placed 2nd in the 200 in 31.82 and the 400 in 1:13. Crysta Brown took 4th in the mile in 7:11 and Alyssa Urquhart 5th in 8:45.
