WHS Girls’ Tennis Nipped By Greyhounds

Lisbon 3 – Wiscasset 2The Lisbon Greyhounds nipped Wiscasset in a close tennis match on May 20. Ali Preble lost 3-10 to Sarah Giraldo at first singles. Lexi Tischbein beat Katie McManus 10-5 at second singles, and Abby Foster topped Nikole Gardner 10-3 at third singles. Ashley Mumbower and Abbie Moodie lost to Meghan Craig and Cheyenne Cameron 6-10 at first doubles. Wiscasset forfeited second doubles.

In exhibition action, Margaret West and Moody beat Jaymi Thibault and HyunJa Caron 6-2.Winthrop 5 – Wiscasset 0Winthrop swept Wiscasset 5-0 on Monday. Ali Preble lost 1-10 to Kelsey Ouellette. Lexi Tischbein fell 4-10 to Elaine Theriault. Abby Foster lost 4-10 to Kelly Miles. Ashley Mumbower and Margaret West were defeated by Katherine Sparks and Nikki Scott 1-10. Johanna Verney and Abbie Moody fell 1-10 to Molly Lindsey and Lauren McHatten 1-10. In exhibition action, West and Shelby Weber won 6-1.
