Wiscasset 6th Grade Travel Win WCC Invitational

Wiscasset 6th grade travel team defeated Medomak 6th 39-29 to win the Wiscasset Parks & Recreation 5th and 6th grade boys’ Invitational Basketball Tournament on March 7. Scoring for Wiscasset were Brandon Colby 10, Michael Stewart 9, Josh Cowing 6, JD Souza 5, Daren Wood 5, Brycson Grover 2 and Chayse Reed 2. Scoring for Medomak were Nick DePatsy 12, Jackson Vail 6, Zach Starr 6, Ollie Brown 3 and Sheldon Lavway 2.

Medomak 5th 28 – Wiscasset 5th 15Medomak 5th defeated Wiscasset 5th in game one of the tournament on Friday night. Scoring for Medomak were Cameron Martin 10, Jon Allard 6, Cameron Allaire 4, Laken Harrington 4, Taylor McLain 2, Cale Gee 1 and Richie Sproul 1. Scoring for Wiscasset were Ethan James 8, Kevin Lynch 5 and Grant Hefler 2.Wiscasset 6th 27 – Medomak 6th 25Wiscasset 6th nipped Medomak 6th by a basket in game two of the tournament. Scoring for CLC were Tozier 6, Lincoln 5, Brinkler 2 and Leeman 2.Medomak 6th 36 – Boothbay 23Medomak worked their way through the consolation bracket, beating Boothbay in the semifinals to advance to the championship round. Scoring for Medomak were Starr 15, DePatsy 9, Lavway 4 and McAulliffe, McCollett, Herron and Tim Miller 2 each. Scoring for Boothbay were Drummond 10, Morgan Wilson 4, Knowles 3, and Burnham, Shane Johnson and Xavier Downing 2 each.
