Wiscasset All-Stars Compete In Bath Tourneys

Freeport 9 – Wiscasset 1Freeport defeated Wiscasset U-12 all-stars 9-1 in game one of the Bouget Tournament in Bath July 30. Wiscasset spoiled the shutout in the sixth inning on a Tyler Bailey single, Andrew Lacavera walk and JD Souza single.

Hitting for Wiscasset were Mike Stewart, Daren Wood, Bailey, and Souza with a single each. Freeport had 13 hits.

Hitting for Freeport were Alex Libby with three hits, including a homerun, N. Cyr three hits, Jack Davenport and Pete Lamanea two hits each and Brian Lee on hit.Auburn 4 – Wiscasset 3Auburn won a pitcher’s duel with Wiscasset on Saturday to eliminate them from the tournament. Mike Stewart got the start for Wiscasset, and Daren Wood took the loss. Hitting for Wiscasset were Wood with a homerun and two singles, Ben Chadwick a double and Brycson Grover, Stewart and Josh Cowing a single each.Wiscasset 8 – Bath 5Wiscasset 10U baseball all-stars competed in the Fitzherbert baseball tournament in Bath. Wiscasset won their first game of the series 8-5 over Bath. Conlan Ranta got the start for Wiscasset.

Hitting for Wiscasset were Ranta with four singles, Noah Peaslee a double and three singles, Grant Hefler and Andrew Hendrickson with a double and single each, and Josh Doughty, Kiernan Huggins, James LaCavera, Ronald Drake and Brandon Goud a single each.
