Spruce Mountain defeated Wiscasset baseball 18-1 on April 27. Wolverine coach Gregg Wood is measuring success in small increments this season with nine freshmen on the roster. Wiscasset collected three hits in the game, their first of the season, and scored their first run in three starts. Matt Eckert drew a walk in the fourth inning and scored on a Ronald Drake single. Drake went three for three at the plate.
Spruce Mountain was led by Nick Lombardi with two homeruns (4RBI) and Shane Pelletier with a double and single.
Lombardi collected the win for Spruce Mountain, and Andrew Hendrickson took the loss for Wiscasset.
