Wiscasset baseball picked up wins over Lisbon and Hall-Dale this week to improve their record to 5-2.
Lisbon took a 1-0 lead in the 1st but it was short lived as Wiscasset plated 4 runs in the home half of the inning to take the lead for good. Devin Grover walked, Ashton Benn reached on an error, Brewer drove in a run on an error, and Corey Hodgdon walked to set up a two run single to Eddie Stewart.
Wiscasset added a run in the 3rd when Benn singled, stole second and scored on a Jason Weatherbee double. They added 2 runs in the 5th. Grover and Benn singled and Ryan Segovia walked to load up the bases for an RBI walk to Brewer and RBI sacrifice fly to Weatherbee.
Hitting for Wiscasset were Benn with 2 singles, Weatherbee a double, and Grover and Stewart a single each. Hitting for Lisbon were Harrington, Durphy, Houey and DeGove a single each.
Wiscasset jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the 1st inning. Grover singled, stole second and scored when Benn reached on an error. Segovia walked and he and Benn moved up on a double steal, to set up a two run double to Weatherbee.
The Redskins added a run in the 3rd when Weatherbee reached on an error and scored on a Stewart single. Weatherbee scored again in the 5th on a Hodgdon single. Brandon Bailey doubled in the 6th, moved over on a Benn single and scored when Segovia reached on an error.
Hitting for Wiscasset were Hodgdon with 2 singles, Weatherbee and Bailey a double each, and Grover, Benn and James Andretta a single each. Hitting for Hall-Dale were Shepherd, a double, and Crocker, Lush and Rush, a single each.
