Wiscasset boys basketball team beat Telstar 66-64 in overtime Wednesday night. The Rebels jumped out to a 15-7 first quarter lead, before the Wolverines roared back to tie the game 27-27 at the half. Wiscasset led by five at the end of three. An exciting fourth quarter saw Jarrett Bean knot the score and send it to overtime for Telstar.
Brandon Sprague and Daren Wood hit big shots in overtime and Nate Woodman settled two foul shots with 45 seconds to go to lift Wiscasset to victory.
Wiscasset was led by Brandon Sprague with 23 (14 rebounds), Cody Roberts 18 and Wood 10. Telstar was led by Jarrett Bean 17 (15 rebounds), Cam Pike 14, Maverick Griffin 13 and Mike Dougherty 13.
