Wiscasset boys basketball team returns with a veteran team, following a year of turmoil that saw four starters leave for a variety of reasons for parts of last season. Last year’s drama gave young players plenty of playing time and hardened them for this season.
Wiscasset finished the 2013-14 season with a 10-8 record. They lost three of their top five scorers. Matt Craig, last year’s second highest scorer, returns, as well as Brandon Sprague and Ethan James.
The Wolverines are headed up by Dana Lawrence.
Playing varsity for the Wolverines are Jacob Allen, Russell Marr, Grant Hefler, Matt Craig, Nate Woodman, Andrew Corson, Kevin Lynch, Tom Anderson, Ethan James, Daren Wood, Brandon Sprague, Logan Orr, Cody Roberts, Sean Chubbuck, and Zach Reed.
Wiscasset boys open their season on Fri., Dec. 5 at home against Mt. Valley at 7 p.m.
