Wiscasset hosted a five team cross-country meet on Sept. 23. Lisbon and Boothbay tied with 42 points, with Lisbon winning when their sixth runner came in ahead of Boothbay’s sixth runner. Carrabec was third with 103, Wiscasset fourth with 106, and Madison fifth with 141.
Matt McClintok of Madison won the race in 16:23, beating out Boothbay’s Chase Brown in 16:52. Brad Whitaker was the top runner for the Redskins, placing eighth in 18:46. John Chapman was 15th in 19:52; Ryan Urquhart 23rd in 21:44; Joe Chapman 28th in 23:01; and Kyle Shute 33rd in 23:57.
Wiscasset girls had just four girls competing, so did not register a team score. Lisbon won the girls’ race with 27 points and Madison scored 28 points. Carrabec’s Sikwani Dana won in 21:52. Heidi Pinkham led Wiscasset, taking fourth in 23:51. Crysta Brown was sixth in 24:07; Krista Bailey 13th in 29:53; and Alyssa Urquhart 15th in 32:50.
