Wiscasset girls’ soccer started out their MVC season with two wins, but has lost their last seven, including two by one goal and two by two goals. The Wolverines lost three games this past week, 2-1 to Spruce Mountain, 4-0 to Hall-Dale, and 2-0 to Monmouth.
Spruce Mountain held a 27-13 edge in shots. Caroline Footer made 12 saves for the Wolverines, and Emily Keene three for Spruce Mountain.
“We played really well tonight. It was the best we’ve played in the last couple of weeks. We had good spacing, good passing and good communication,” coach Duane Goud commented.
Hall-Dale held a 16-3 advantage in shots. Kasey Cromwell made 10 stops for the Wolverines, and Megan Cope two for the Bulldogs.
Monmouth held a 15-6 advantage in shots. Cromwell made four saves for Wiscasset and Natalie Young three for Monmouth.
