Wiscasset High School golf qualified for the State team championships on Oct. 9 at the Mountain Valley Conference Qualifier at Natanis. Winthrop got an automatic bye for winning the championship, leaving just two openings from MVC teams to make the states. St. Dom’s shot a 311, Winthrop a 344 and Wiscasset a 347 to qualify for States.
Chandler Longfellow and Daren Wood qualified for the Maine Schoolboy Individual championships to be played at Natanis in Vassalboro on Oct. 19. Longfellow tied for third with an 80, and Wood tied for fifth with an 82.
Grant Hefler shot a 93, Tom Anderson, playing with a back injury, shot a 104 and Matt Craig a 95.
