Wiscasset boys’ basketball team picked up three wins this week to improve to 16-1. The Redskins defeated rival Boothbay Tuesday night in Wiscasset, 67-57. Wiscasset led 14-4 at the quarter, 32-29 at the half and 52-42 at the end of three.
Scoring for Wiscasset were Nick Hinkley 18 (6A), Cody Griffin 16, Josh Hopkins 12, Sumner Averill 7, Jason Dennison 6 (8R,4A,4S), Alex Slack 6 and Jimmy Davis 2.
Scoring for Boothbay were Dan Hallinan 17, Dan Dickinson 10, Zach Vanderlaan 10, Jake Simmons 3, Alex Gorey 2, Wendall Thayer 2, and Scott Alley 2.
Wiscasset 67 – Lisbon 28
Wiscasset made short work of Lisbon on the road Friday night, 67-28. The Redskins led 19-5 at the quarter, 42-8 at the half and 56-15 at the end of three. Every Wiscasset player scored in the win. Alex Slack led with a career high 16 points (9R), Dennison added 10, Davis 9, Josh Sonia 6, Hopkins 6, Griffin 4, Averill 4 (7R), Brad Richardson 3, Hinkley 3, Tyler Sonia 2, Mitchell DeCosta 2, and Dylan Connors 2 (7R).
Scoring for Lisbon were Nick Jones 11, Tobey Harrington 8, Steve Obie 6, and Chris Whitney 3.
