Wiscasset High School boys basketball team improved to 4-2 with a 55-37 win over Mt.Valley in Rumford Monday night.
The Wolverines got off to a slow start, trailing 10-4 at the quarter break. Wiscasset knotted the score 19-19 at the half, then took the lead with an 18-9 run in the third period. Wiscasset outscored the Falcons 36-18 in the second half.
Scoring for Wiscasset were Dale Peaslee 10 (4R,6S), Kevin Lynch 8, Ethan James 8 (4R,3S), Brandon Sprague 8 (6R), Nate Mills 6 (2-3s), Matt Craig 6 (6R), Cainin Griffin 5, and Travis Padilla 4 (5R,4A). Scoring for Mt.Valley were Tom Marshall 9, Brad Marshall 7, Caleb Gavin 7. Riley Flynn 6, Andy Cote 6, and Kyle Farrar 2.
