York defeated Lincoln Academy 5-1 in a South Class B preliminary boys soccer game in York on Oct.26. York jumped out to a 2-0 lead on two goals from Quenton Convery, including one less than a minute into the contest. Eagle keeper Tiger Cumming was injured on the play and missed half of the first half.
Lincoln pulled within one, 2-1 at the half on a Levi Farrin goalon a wild scramble in the box.
Convery netted four goals and Dillon Brodsky one for the Wilcats. Cumming had 21 saves for the Eagles, and Avery Redonnet six.
