The battle of two winless KVAC girls’ basketball teams ended in dramatic fashion Friday night in Waldoboro, when Lincoln Academy freshman Olivia York hit a three pointer at the buzzer to lift the Lady Eagles to a 44-43 win over Medomak Valley.
The Panthers jumped out to a 10-3 lead early in the first half. Taylor Oliver converted at the line for a three-point play, and Leslie Sandefur scored to cut the lead to two by quarter’s end 10-8.
