Fourth seed York defeated fifth seed Lincoln Academy boys’ soccer team 3-0 on Oct. 24 in York in a West Class B quarterfinal match-up.
The Eagles battled York to a scoreless first half. York carried play with superb passing, but were unable to breach the Eagles’ net, guarded by sophomore Wally Morris.
Morris made 15 first-half saves, including several diving saves and blocks. Twice sophomore Greg Anderson made goal-line saves, after Morris rejected a Wildcat shot with a diving block.
