The Busline League large school division crowned their champions on Sat., Jan. 28 at Troy Howard Middle School in Belfast.
Medomak 7th boys upset top seed GSB, 61-53. The Riverhawks jumped out to a 15-2 lead and the Cougars were unable to recover. Medomak was led by Jake Bickmore 24 and Trevor Brown 18. GSB was led by Patrick Mckenney 33 and Nick Prior 8.
Undefeated Medomak 7th girls topped Boothbay 41-15. The Lady Riverhawks were led by Grace White 13, Autumn Ripley 8 and Alyssa Creamer 6. Boothbay was led by M. Gentry 8 and J. Balducci 6.
Boothbay 8th girls beat Belfast49-24. Boothbay was led by Glory Blethen 15, Sydney Welch 8, Jaelyn Crocker 7, and Rachel Gentry and Kylie Brown 6 each.
Belfast 8th boys topped Medomak 52-28. Belfast was led by Chris Kelly 20, and Jason Bartlett 16. Medomak was led by Brandon Starr 7 and Zach Cheesman 6.
