Lincoln Academy girls tennis team sank the Mariners 3-2 on May 4 at Oceanside. Four of the five matches went to three sets in the close contests. Emily Harris swept Gabby Simmons 6-0, 6-0 at first singles. Sandra Thelander rallied from behind to beat Molly Davis 5-7, 6-3, 7-5 at second singles. Polina Scimone lost her first set 3-6, then scrambled back to defeat Chassidy Brooks at third singles, 6-0, 6-4. May Halm and Kate Peters lost to Emma Lee and Jasmine Bouchard 6-7, 6-4, 4-6 at first doubles. Anastaysia Oliver and Ellie Mathews fell in three sets to Meredith Mitchell and Erin Day 4-6, 6-4, 1-6 at second doubles.
