The normally hot shooting Lady Seahawks struggled all night from the floor, then were forced to foul in the fourth quarter. Monmouth Academy sank 14 of 15 foul shots in the final period to pull out a 39-30 win in the South C semi-final match-up on Feb. 23 at the Augusta Civic Center. Monmouth advances to the Regional championships with the win.
Boothbay was led by Page Brown 12, Faith Blethen 8 and Nicole Clark 8. The Mustangs were led by Tia Day with 21. Day went 10 for 10 at the foul line in the final period.
