Wiscasset 2 – Mt.Abram 1
Wiscasset girls soccer team rallied from behind to beat Mt.Abram 2-1 on Sept. 21 under the lights in Wiscasset. River Horn gave the Roadrunners a 1-0 lead with 32:30 to go in the first half. Grace Webber scored the equalizer eight minutes into the second frame when she collected a pass from Vanessa Dunn and blasted a shot of Mt.Abram’s keeper and iside the left post. Maeve Blodgett scored the game winner on a penalty kick with 27:43 to go. The PK was called after Webber was hauled down on a breakaway inside the penalty area. Wolverine keeper Lindsay Gordon and her defensive played tough the remainder of the game to silence the Roadrunners to earn the win.
Lincoln Academy 3 – Medomak Valley 1
Lincoln Academy girls soccer team defeated Medomak Valley 3-1 on Sept 23 during the Eagles Homecoming match-up. Tatum Hancock gave the Eagles the lead 13 minutes into the contest. Chelsea Williams scored on a direct kick with 23:53 left in the half to give the Eagles a 2-0 lead. Cassie Smeltzer pulled the Panthers within one. Smeltzer broke free and blasted a shot at Eagle keeper Kortney McKenna from close range. McKenna made a diving block, but the ball spun out of her hands and Smeltzer was there to put in the rebound. Hancock struck again for Lincoln when she collected a long through ball from Williams.
Boys soccer
Monmouth 6 – Wiscasset 0
Monmouth defeated Wiscasset boys soccer 6-0 on Sept. 23 in Wiscasset. Avery Pomerleau netted four goals for the Mustangs, and Nate Camire and Cody Michaud one each.
Lincoln 2 – Medomak 0
Lincoln Academy defeated Medomak Valley boys soccer 2-0 at the Eagles Homecoming under the lights in Newcastle on Sept. 23. Lauren Pusey-Nazzaro scored with 1:48 to play in the half on a long ball that floated under the cross bar to the upper right corner. The Eagles scored on a penalty kick 10 minutes into the second half. The PK was called after Nolen Michael landed on the ground after a collision with Will Smith in the box. Terry Matsuda scored on the PK. Aiden Starr made 18 saves in net for the Panthers, including three diving blocks with under 10 minutes to play. Sam Laemmle made nine stops for the Eagles.

Morse 8 – Lincoln 1
Morse robbed the Eagles nest for an 8-1 win Saturday morning during Lincoln Academy Homecoming action. Vanessa St. Pierre netted three goals, Emelia Marsh two and Lily Thibodeau, Madeline Skroski and Leah Totman one each for the Shipbuilders. Taryn Crummett spoiled the shutout, when scored on a Courtney Gagnon pass from five yards out.
