Here is important safety news about the Oct. 12 Giant Pumpkin Parade. Those organizing a group to march, walk, or ride in this year’s parade must submit a completed parade registration form by mail or email by 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 4.
This deadline is necessary so that the Damariscotta Police Department and Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office can confirm that parade drivers have valid driver’s licenses.
Unacceptable applicants will be notified by email, and any decision of the Damariscotta Pumpkinfest & Regatta to disallow a unit is binding and final.
To be clear, for those wishing to take part in the Giant Pumpkin Parade this year, applications must be received by 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 4 at:
Mark Doe, parade chairman, 2019 Damariscotta Pumpkinfest & Regatta, P.O. Box 1101, Damariscotta, ME 04543-1101; parade@damariscottapumpkinfest.com
563-5442 (office)
592-1249 (cellphone)
