This is the eighth season for the Maine Pottery Tour, and Neighborhood Clay in Damariscotta is pleased to be part of the tour again this year, on Saturday and Sunday, May 4 and 5.
This is a wonderful opportunity for people to come see what is done at the clay studio, from teaching pottery classes for all ages to paint-your-own pottery and retail sales of fine gifts, including Liz Proffetty Ceramics, contemporary porcelain pottery that is reflective of the Maine landscape.
To celebrate the special event, the studio will be having a sale on pottery and gift certificates, a free plate project for all to try, and delicious snacks.
Neighborhood Clay’s hours during the tour will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday, May 4 and 5.
Other participating potters in Lincoln County are Libbey Seigars’ Whitefield Pottery and Chouinard Ceramics in Wiscasset. Details about the tour and downloadable maps can be found at mainepotterytour.org.
