River Arts is pleased to invite members to participate in an upcoming “Members’ Show.” All current and new members are invited to submit one piece for this nonjuried exhibition. Submissions are open now through 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 16.
The show will run from Tuesday, May 19 through Saturday, July 4. A gala opening reception will take place from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, May 23.
Now is a wonderful time to become a member and join the River Arts community. “Members’ Show” celebrates the talent of River Arts’ member artists and showcases the wide range of art being created in Maine.
River Arts welcomes all media, including but not limited to painting, sculpture, fiber, photography, ceramics, original printmaking, drawing, encaustic, and pastel. Works may be representational or abstract. “Members’ Show” offers artists the opportunity to submit work for an impressive salon-style exhibition.
All submitted works must be for sale. River Arts retains a 35% commission on all sold work. Entry and membership forms are available at the gallery or online at riverartsme.org.
Submissions are open to all current and new members. Artwork is being accepted at the gallery now through the deadline of 4 p.m. on May 16. Artists may submit one piece measuring no larger than 30 inches in height or width, including the frame.
Annual dues are $60 for individual artists or $90 for a household membership. Those unsure if their membership is active should contact the gallery. There is a $15 hanging fee for participation in “Members’ Show.”
