Gray New Gloucester robbed the Eagles for a 5-0 upset win in South Class B preliminary action on Sept. 20 under the lights in Newcastle. Scoring for GNG were Brianna Jordan with three, and Jordan Grant, West Duffy and Laurel Hamal with one each.

Great Salt Bay School boys soccer team won the Busline League championship on Oct. 20 at Lookout Point in Linconville. The Cougars captured a 3-2 double overtime win over Oceanside. Jack Duncan scored both goals for GSB.

Medomak Valley girls soccer team defeated John Bapst in  a North Clas sB preliminary game in Waldoboro on Oct. 20. Abby Lash gave the Lady Panthers a 1-0 lead in the first half. Medomak pumped in four second half goals.

Three local cross country teams qualified for State championships on Sat., Oct. 20. Boothbay boys placed third in South Class C. Lincoln Academy boys placed fourth in South Class B. Medomak Valley girls placed fifth in North Class B. In addition, Faith and Glory Blethen, of Boothbay, placed in the top ten to qualify for the State Class C meet.

Lincoln Academy girls soccer team wrapped up their season with a 6-2 win at Belfast on Oct. 16. Madi Bradbury scored two first half goals, and Madeline York, Paige Camp, Schuyler Farrell and Chloe Bryant scored a goal each for the Eagles. June Robertson scored both goals for the Lions.

Medomak Valley and Medomak Middle School soccer games, scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 11 have been postponed until Friday, Oct. 12.

Waterville defended their home turf for a 2-0 win over the shorthanded Panthers of Medomak in KVAC boys soccer action on Oct. 9. Benjamin Danner scored one goal and assisted on the second. Adam Livshits scored the second goal.
