This notice is for all motorists that park on any street or road or in the municipal parking lot after hours in Damariscotta. The winter season is upon us. In accordance with the Town of Damariscotta Traffic & Parking Ordinance, Article 1.17 Winter Parking – parking is prohibited on any street, road, or municipal parking lot from Nov. 15 to April 15 between the hours of 9 p.m. and 7 a.m.

On Saturday, Nov. 30, the third annual Villages of Light celebration will light up the Twin Villages of Damariscotta and Newcastle just in time for the holidays.

The October meeting of the Pemaquid Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution was called to order on Oct. 8 at The Lincoln Home’s library in Newcastle. There were 10 members, three associate members, and one guest.

On Friday, Nov. 8, Waldoboro community leaders and representatives from H.E. Callahan Construction will help Broad Bay Congregational Church in Waldoboro break ground for the church’s phase-one renovation project. The public is invited to the 10 a.m. ceremonial groundbreaking, which will be followed by refreshments.
